Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the website and services operated by People In the Loop, LLC (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by People In the Loop, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Atlanta, GA, USA.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your account and LinkedIn sign‑in

  • You may sign in using LinkedIn or another supported provider.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs using your account.
  • You agree not to use another person's account without permission.

4. Event submissions and user content

When you submit events, forms, or other content (“User Content”):

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • You grant People In the Loop, LLC a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content as needed to operate and promote the Service (for example, to show events in the directory, in emails, or on social channels connected to the Service).
  • You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

You agree not to submit content that is:

  • Illegal, fraudulent, or misleading
  • Harassing, hateful, or discriminatory
  • Pornographic or otherwise inappropriate for a professional audience
  • Malicious (e.g., containing malware or harmful code)

We may remove or refuse to display User Content that we believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data in bulk without our permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service (e.g., via denial‑of‑service attacks, bots, or abusive automation)

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

6. Consulting services and waitlist

If you join a consulting waitlist or engage us for services:

  • Joining the waitlist does not guarantee that we will accept you as a client or provide services.
  • Any consulting engagement will be governed by a separate written agreement (such as a proposal or contract) that will describe scope, fees, and specific terms. In case of conflict, that separate agreement will control.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, content (excluding User Content), and underlying software, is owned by People In the Loop, LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as expressly allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

8. Third‑party services

The Service may integrate with or link to third‑party services (such as LinkedIn, email providers, or automation platforms like n8n). We do not control and are not responsible for those third‑party services, their content, or their privacy practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non‑infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free, or that any events or information provided are accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes. You are responsible for verifying details (such as event dates, locations, or suitability) before relying on them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • People In the Loop, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or loss of data, use, or goodwill.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months preceding the claim (or USD $0 if you have not paid us).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold People In the Loop, LLC harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
